Who are GrowUp Farms?
GrowUp Farms grows seriously fresh salad leaves at one of the UK’s leading vertical farms in Kent. Our leaves are grown year-round without pesticides, then packed fresh and ready to eat, so there’s no need to wash… just open and enjoy!
Where can I buy your salad?
You’ll find our Unbeleafable leaves in major UK supermarkets, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Co-op, Ocado and more.
Why does your salad last longer?
Our leaves last longer because of how they are grown.
Our leaves are grown in clean, controlled conditions without pesticides, so they stay dry, crisp and fresher for longer. We grow in the UK all-year-round, so they get to shops quicker, meaning more local leaves and way less food miles.

Do you use pesticides?
Nope. Never. Our leaves are grown in a clean, controlled environment, so there’s no need for them. We don’t use any nasties on our leaves which is why you can eat them straight out of the bag!
What is vertical farming?
It’s how we grow our leaves indoors, stacked in layers.
It uses less space and less water, while giving every leaf exactly what it needs to grow meaning the boldest flavours and the crispest leaves.
Where are you based?
Our farm, Pepperness, is in Sandwich, Kent. This is where our team grow the freshest, boldest tasting leaves all year round. (And yes, we really do grow salad in Sandwich, we’re not having you on… we promise.)
How did GrowUp start?
We started in 2013 with a small urban farm in London. Today, we grow at scale from our vertical farm in Kent.
How are you better for the planet?
We grow using 95% less water than traditional methods, without pesticides, and right here in the UK… So, our leaves travel less and will be within 5 miles of any UK household. (I know even we are impressed with this!)
Our farm is powered by 100% renewable energy, helping us grow all year round with less impact.
Why are your leaves so fresh?
Short answer: we’re a bit obsessive about it. We believe that leaves should always be fresh, crisp and bold in flavour. No soggy. Boring salads around here.
